INCEPTION
This project is an ode to a masterpiece movie Inception, written and directed by Christopher Nolan, awarded film Director, created for the Typographics festival 2023.
Project explores the ways modern typography can work and make people feel emotions through pure type. Expressive type as a primary subject is transformed through different medias and explored in static and motion forms.
Project includes a movie script book based of three scenes from Inception movie &
a motion video, promoting the book.
Scene One
First scene features a conversation between Ariadne (a young architect, played by Elliot Page) and Cobb (main character, played by Leonardo DiCaprio). In the scene Ariadne tries to create an unescapable labyrinth. In the process, she also finds out that she is dreaming.
Scene Two
Second scene takes place in the hotel room, where Cobb (Leonardo DiCaprio) is heading to celebrate a marriage anniversary with his wife Mal (Marion Cotillard). He finds Mal sitting on the edge of open window on a high-floor, ready to jump down.
Scene Three
Third scene is a culmination, taking place in the deep dream, where Fischer (Cillian Murphy) discovers the true wish of his dying father Maurice Fischer (Pete Postlethwaite), which eventually alters his mind about his family business future and the future of his own.
